Mel's Breast Surgery And Treatment

The cost involved with the surgery and treatment is huge and then we need full time daycare and will need home help for the kids and myself. Every bit helps no matter how big or small so please help us raise some funds so some of the financial pressure is taken off us and means we don't have to stress so much about the mounting bills while going through this. It will also go towards family councilling through our family psychologist to help us all get through this tough time together. I have had a test come back with abnormal cells and because that is not enough because it was a small sample they are unable to fully diagnose the stage and type of cancer I have and we now have to do a double mastectomy and lumpectomy to determin the treatment i will need whether it be chemo or radiation or both. I have 5 kids ranging from 14 down to 3 years old, we have to place our younger two in fulltime daycare as i will not be able to care for them for an extended period of time and the other two primary kids will have to go into after school care. we will need to hire someone to help me during the day with the household cleaning and meals as my partner works for himself and i won't be able to do anything. we were extremely hesitating about asking for help and we were looking at getting a bank loan to fund all of what is needed but that will just make us worse off. So we have made this gofundme page in the hope we can get a little bit of help towards the high cost of breast cancer surgery and treatment.
