Melonie Wolfe's Fight for Survival

Melonie was in an accident yesterday, October 16 on her way home from work. She was air lifted on scene to Mercy in St. Louis where she was immediately sent in for surgery. The front of her skull was pushing into her brain so it was removed and left open to make room for the swelling of her brain. They have removed one of her eyes in hopes of saving the other. Fat was removed from her thigh and placed it in her head. She spent the majority of the day in surgery yesterday and was moved into ICU late last night where they slowly woke her up. She is currently stable and following some commands but the next few days are critical. The concern is keeping her brain from swelling too much and causing a stroke. All of her children have been doing their best to be there with her, but with COVID restrictions that has been difficult. Assuming Melonie survives this, her quality of life will be drastically impacted, any help is appreciated!
