Melody's Mozambique Mission

This summer I am blessed to have the opportunity to travel to Mozambique, Africa and be apart of the amazing work being done there through Iris Global Ministries! YES, I am going back to Africa AGAIN!!! I have developed a massive heart and passion for the people of Africa and I am beyond excited that God has opened the door for me to return a third time. I have been accepted to attend the Harvest School of Missions and will be there from May 28th--August 7th. This school will help me gain understanding of what every day life looks life as a long-term missionary, teach me how to reach others cross-culturally, and practically equip me for the physical challenges of third-world nations. While in Mozambique, I will be attending daily training classes and seminars taught by respected pastors and leaders of the ministry. I will be living among the beautiful orphan children and engaging with the people of the village on a daily basis. I will have the opportunity to serve those in need by doing things such as: helping out with the the local orphanage, teaching children how to read and write in English, assisting the women in their sewing and making clay beads, and more. I will also be working alongside the long-term missionaries of Iris Global and traveling into remote areas of Mozambique known as the "Bush-Bush" where I will spend a few days at a time sharing the love and hope of Jesus with the villagers. I am asking you to be apart of what God is doing by helping make this journey to Mozambique possible!
