When I served as the Chief Executive Officer for Acme Oyster House we experienced this kind of tragedy. As a family that went through Hurricane Katrina, my memories are only those of the outpoor of help and love from strangers in Russelville AK. From the managers and owners of the Hampton Inn to the staff of Walmart who showed up in less than 24 hours with baskets of items and gift cards. Our hearts were so touched that it is forever a part of who we are today.
Our plan is to mobilize a crew and move into the Houston area as soon as the highways are passable. We have contacts in Northwest Houston and are making arrangements to station ourselves strategically. We will be baking pizza on site and providing what relief we can.
We are fully equiped for remote catering. Funds raised will go towards food products and fuel cost associated with on site logistics. All invoices will be generated through US Foods so that inventories can be accounted for properly. Any funds remaining with be donated for future assistance needed within the Houston metro area via the Louisian Restaurant Association Emergency Relief Fund.
Our mission is to do what we can for those who need it most. Please find it in your heart to help us.
