Melissa's Cancer Battle

Donation protected
Most of you know about the accident I suffered in November of 1996, as I was serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in which I was struck by a van traveling 55 mph, thrown 15 feet above the van, and pronounced dead by the police officer who arrived at the scene 1st. Recovery was long and hard, and I was told not to pursue college, but to perhaps pursue a specific skills trade.

However, I knew what I wanted to do and am meant to do, so against popular opinion, and to prove the naysayers wrong, I graduated with honors, from Utah Valley University. I have continued my education, and am a few months away from graduating from Grand Canyon University with my Master's in psychology and life-coaching.

My wife has been a champion, and has been working as a dental assistant ever since we were first married, as I was working and going to school. Our daughter Brooklyn was born in December of 2012, and has brought joy to our lives. However, I have had to quit work, so I might be able to take care of Brooklyn, while my wife works to support us.

Just recently, however, Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer. We caught it fairly early, and things are looking good. However, it has put a considerable financial strain on us, which we did not anticipate. We are not asking for a lot, but would appreciate ANY donation you might be able to make.

Do not worry, we are positive and optimistic, but need financial help, and all of the prayers we can get. Yes, our insurance is covering some, but the chemotherapy and cancer treatments are expensive, and the 4 months Melissa will miss from work are irrecoverable.

Anything you can donate will be very much appreciated!

We just got a new update. One of Melissa's doctors was hopeful it would not be the HER2 type, but the results just came back, and it was! It is going to cost us a lot more than we 1st anticipated.
