Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to you today for my daughter, Melissa Volker Smith. As many of you may know, Melissa is having back surgery (laminectomy of L5 S1) on September 13th., after suffering with back pain for a year. She will be recuperating for at least 4-6 weeks and will be unable to work. She is a single mother raising three children on her own working two jobs as a PRN with no paid leave.

I have never known a more loving and giving person with her family and friends than Melissa. She is always the first one to give of her time and talents helping others in need. Whether it's baking for co-workers, sharing fresh eggs with neighbors or saving a child's life at the beach , she is constantly helping others.

Please consider helping her out at this difficult time. Funds will be used for her medical expenses along with the day to day expenses while she is out of work. Help us; help Melissa get her mojo back.
