Family and Friends -
As many of you have heard, Friday, June 26th was a tragic day for my family. My cousin, Melissa Williamson, and her girlfriend, Coleen Huling, were killed by a reckless driver while riding their bikes. These incredible women were taken from this earth far too soon and they will be missed by so many.
My family and I are absolutely devastated by this sudden loss. This is incredibly difficult for me to write, as there are no words to describe what Melissa meant to this world. Melissa was the most accepting person I knew. She was generous, dependable, and extremely intelligent. Melissa was so kind. She was encouraging, creative, and spontaneous. There truly are not enough words that I can use. I have been touched to see all of the friends and loved ones sharing memories. Her spirit was truly a light in the world.
My goal is to ease the financial burden on Melissa's family. Many of us know the costs that go into a service, and I feel that the Williamson's should not have to worry about finances during this impossible time. Her parents, Matt and Kerri, are some of the most selfless people I know. They lost their child. Her sister, Michaella lost her other half, her twin sister. Renee and Josh unexpectedly lost their big sister. Her family lost a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a role model, a friend.
As we all wonder what we can do to help, I encourage you to donate what you can to this deserving family, or share this page so that we can reach as many people as possible. Anything helps, and the funds will go directly to the Williamson family.
