Melissa Presley

Hi my name is Jessica Daniels. My sister in law Melissa Presley was in a bad car accident on Thursday March 29th,2018 at 2:47pm. She was driving to Ironton from Bismarck and a 77 year old man cross the yellow line and hit her head on. When Melissa notice he was coming she try to move off the road and he still hit her and she went into a telephone pole. Melissa youngest son with her and he had minor injuries but Melissa is in critical condition. When she hit the pole the dash of the car was on her chest and the engine shift over onto her lap. She was transfer to Saint  anthony’s in St Louis where a lot of test were ran and they found out a lot was wrong. So they transfer to Mercy trauma ICU where she is now. Due to the accident the following is wrong with her: her lungs are bruised,heart bruised,both ribs are broken, blood around her spleen and  pancreas, shin on her right leg, femur on her left leg in 2 spots, all 5 toes on left foot, left hip broke off the stocked, 2 breaks in the pelvis by her private area and 1 break at the  lumbar in the pelvis, hole in her bladder (ruptured bladder), right kidney the main vein from her body to that kidney has a blood clot in it. She has had 4 surgeries to get stuff repaired and put back together. After all the repairs she nows has 2 stainless rodes in the femur and 1 stainless steal plate in the femur and she has 2 plates holding her hip back in socked, 3 screws holding her pelvis back together in the front, 1 screw holding the lumbar and pelvis back together and a  titanium nail  holding her shin bone back together. After her last surgery on Wednesday they said she was doing good. Yesterday they went to take the breathing tube out Melissa swollen a mucus plug and it caused her code and they had to due chest  compressions ans she was down for about 4 mins and while she was down all her organs shut down and all the oxygen to her body went to her brain and caused her brain to swell. Right now she is stable by her vitals but they have her on a cool machine to drop her body temperature down to 50 degrees for 24 hours and then they will bring it up slowly to normal body temperature which will take another 24 hours and hopefully this will help the swelling on her brain. She is back on a vent and breathing tube. This is a mother daughter sister and  friend and this family needs some help right now.
