Melissa McNair Memorial Fund

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden and tragic passing of Melissa Dyan McNair. At just 38 years old, Melissa was the youngest child of Reverend William McNair and Marion McNair and the sister of Will McNair. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Ayden.

Melissa was fearless in chasing her dreams, doing what was right, and not letting anyone or anything hold her back. She was dedicated to her family, friends, and community.  While managing her own law firm, Melissa spent countless hours volunteering her time as a pro bono attorney at the Harriet Buha'i Center for Family Law and was recognized for her contributions. She will be remembered for her tenacity, generosity, and radiant smile. We are devastated to have lost her so soon and unexpectedly. 

All donations will be used toward the cost of her funeral and memorial services. Any remaining funds will be donated to the Harriett Buha’i Center for Family Law (https://www.hbcfl.org/), an organization dedicated to helping  victims of domestic violence and low income clients receive free legal services.  The Center and its mission were important to Melissa. 

Melissa’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 12pm at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ located at 3045 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016.
