I was fortunate to cross paths with Melem Moktar Gania while traveling in Morocco in 2020. We connected musically, which blossomed into several collaborations infusing his Gnawa soul into my house music arrangements and a remix of his rendition of 'Alla a Sudane'. His energy is larger than life in such a positive, nurturing, and loving way- he is nothing short of a positive force for this world.

Sadly, Melem Moktar Gania is facing severe health challenges. He is currently on dialysis in Fes, Morocco.

In an effort to assist in the emergency, I am teaming up with Turntables on the Hudson to fundraise for the Melem with our single 'Heavy Like a Ton' on Nickodemus' 3x vinyl compilation 'Inside the Dance Vo l 5 '.
