Melanie Needs Medical Help

There are so many tragedies in the world that it is so hard to wrap our minds around it. And this is one more.

Melanie Collins, we now believe, was infected with hepatitis c at birth. I am her mother and was also infected, most likely, at the same time from infected blood transfusions. Thankfully I successfully completed treatment. Melanie has attempted treatment twice. Unfortunately, she was unable to tolerate the poisonous treatment that kills the infection.

Now Melanie is in the fight for her life. The virus has destroyed her liver and now she has pancreatic disease. Both forerunners of cancer. She experiences incredible pain, always tired, experiences bouts of confusion and severe nausea. She is only able to work part time and can't afford insurance.

Now I appeal to any who read this. Can you help to save her life? She needs money for the expensive medical testing. And possibly transplant, if there are no other options. Please search your heart. There is no amount too small. If she doesn't get help quickly she will develop cancer. Then it would be too late. Please help me save my daughters life.

Melanie is a precious child of God. She has so much to offer. The world would lose a loving pure heart.
