Melanie Hall Cancer Fundraiser

Melanie was first diagnosed with cancer when she was 35 years old and her daughter was only 3 1/2 years old. Melanie joined the millions of women today fighting the fight against breast cancer. Since her diagnosis, she has been through 3 surgeries, including a double mastectomy. The last 10 years of her life have been in and out of hospitals, surgeries, chemo treatment, medications and needles, tests, scans, and biopsies. And through it all, she remains brave and positive, and refuses to give up the fight. Melanie has just learned that despite all the treatments and surgeries, the cancer has now spread to her liver, lung and spine. Melanie will now need to look into new options. Fortunately, cancer treatments have come a long way. Melanie is starting new radiation and chemo treatments.

As a recently divorced single parent, Melanie also faces the stress of paying for bills that are not covered by her insurance. She has copays, deductibles, medications, and certain procedures that are not covered by insurance. Melanie also needs to adhere to a very strict diet that will help boost her immune system and fight off those cancer cells. The list of expenses, goes on and on. Melanie remains committed to fighting this cancer. She is so brave and positive! She is determined to stay strong for her loved ones.
