From June 18- June 28,10 individuals on Team Fuel INDIA 2015 will be on the southeast coast of India. Each person on the team will have the opportunity to contribute to the Christian community and be a light for Jesus in the poorest slums.
Our activities will include dedicating the new Sports Academy, teaching and encouraging Christian coaches and athletes, tutoring children after school, and maintenancing a home for girls.
So, why do I want to go on this trip? There are several reasons. The first is I have been called to go into the world and show love to all. To bring joy and peace to places where those are hard to find. To bring hope where it's never been given.
The second reason is this particular organization, Fuel the Mission, is structured around sports. I love sports. I was raised in a family who played sports all year. My dad is a tremendous coach. I am now married to an amazing coach who invests his life into each of his kids; exactly like the coaches in India. I also Know that sports is a common goal and interest that people all around the World share. The need to be good at something, the need to fit in and the need to strive toward a goal. All of these questions can be answered by the love that God has for us.
The last reason is my love for children and sharing the gospel of Jesus. He changed my life forever.
We are always changing as we grow, and I want to be changed for the better. My prayer is that you will support me and our decision to send me and be His light, through your prayers and monetarily if you feel led. Though prayers are truly the most important aspect of my trip, money is also a large need. I need to raise $3200 in 15 weeks.
