Megaport Bushfire Fundraiser for WIRES & Red Cross

This Friday 10th Megaport is holding a bake sale at 10:30am to raise money in aid of:
NSW WILDLIFE INFORMATION RESCUE AND EDUCATION SERVICE INCORPORATED & RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF AND RECOVERY.
Bake or buy something to bring along to the bake sale - plates of goodies will be available to buy for $5.
You will need to show receipt of your donation to this go fund me or make a donation in cash to purchase a plate.
Megaport will meet every donation dollar for dollar! So feel free to donate more if you wish.

NSW WILDLIFE INFORMATION RESCUE AND EDUCATION SERVICE INCORPORATED: WIRES
(NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service) mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES has over 2500 volunteers and a Rescue Office that operates 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals in distress. WIRES assists tens of thousands of animals every year and last financial year received over 95,000 requests for rescue assistance.
RED CROSS
Since July 2019, Red Cross teams have responded to 30 emergencies (some of which have been going for up to 6 weeks) and supported over 18,600 people, through the efforts of more than 1,590 volunteers and staff.
Right now we’re supporting thousands of people in evacuation centres and recovery hubs across Australia.
Our Register.Find.Reunite service, which reunifies people who have been separated in the bushfire emergency, has registered over 30,000 people and taken more than 5,000 enquires.
Your donation helps Red Cross give people the support they need in disasters, whenever and wherever they happen. We have decades of experience in caring for people affected by earthquakes, cyclones, floods, storms, fire, drought and other emergencies.
This includes:
recovery programs and emergency assistance in communities affected by disasters like bushfires, heat, floods cyclones and other emergencies
helping people and communities prepare for disasters and protect what matters most
training, equipment, logistics and coordination of our volunteers
MEGAPORT IS COLLECTING THIS MONEY ON BEHALF OF THESE CHARITIES.
THIS MONEY IS NOT BEING DONATED TO MEGAPORT.
MEGAPORT WILL MATCH THE DONATED AMOUNT DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR AND DIRECTLY DONATE HALF TO NSW WILDLIFE INFORMATION RESCUE AND EDUCATION SERVICE INCORPORATED: WIRES AND HALF TO RED CROSS.
