Help Megan Study Abroad in Paris

This past year has been an unexpected uphill battle. Starting with the decision to withdraw from school for a semester, I found myself in an complete whirlwind. This prompted me to relinquish my place in the Paris Abroad Program. Giving myself just one week to wallow and feel the enormity of my grief, I began to write. I figured, if I can’t go to Paris this time, I might as well prepare myself to go next time. I became intentional about journaling my thoughts and ideas and deliberate in how I spent my time preparing for my next steps. Which leads me back here...
There is a book out there with my name on it. It has been my dream to write a book in inspiration of my very own life, particularly an epic tale of a young superhero fighting against generational curses. I have achieved many goals in my life, including graduating from my dream school, Spelman College, studying in Brazil, and stepping out on faith to follow my passion to motivate through fine arts, but none of those compare to my immense desire to overcome the generational curses that have rippled throughout my family lineage. It stops here! My children and my children's children will never deal with the issues that will be overcame. So, I decided to write a novel, a real page turner, that will encourage others dealing with habits ingrained within and to leave a legacy for generations to come. With this dream in mind, the opportunity presented itself for me to study Creative Writing in Paris. From this course, I stand to gain extensive instruction in creative writing exploring firsthand the works of renowned writers such as Ernest Hemingway and James Baldwin in an awesome city like Paris rich in its literary heritage.
Currently, I am a student at Columbia College Chicago diligently working hard to achieve my dreams. Your support is greatly appreciated as I am currently paying my way through school. This added expense is sure to be beneficial to my success and worth it. I am working with a timeline set by the programs advisors. To confirm my place in the class, a down payment of $750 is due October 1, 2018, which is deducted from the overall session cost of $2,900. Airfare is estimated at $1,250, though I have registered for low fare sites in hopes of finding a much cheaper roundtrip fare.
I'm excited and ready to help others like me overcome obstacles that seem impossible to tackle. I have a dream and I'm making it plain. Thank you for your support; I truly appreciate it.
