Hallo, mijn naam is Toby. Mijn schoonmoeder woont in de Filippijnen en helaas heeft ze kanker. Dit is fase 3 borstkanker. De operatie is deels betaald van de verzekering, maar de medische behandeling en chemo therapie, kosten ten minste 5000eu en dan gaat niet betaald worden van de verzekering. We hebben zelf al een deel betaald, maar er is nog veel geld nodig, en daarom willen wij een go fund me inzameling houden. Alvast super bedankt, we zijn heel bankbaar met elke donatie.
Begin Januari krijgt zij haar boostershot en 2 weken daarna gaat de behandeling beginnen. Het is een verschrikkelijke ziekte. We hopen dat ze helemaal geneest en dat ze haar kleinkinderen kan zien. Via deze actie hou ik jullie op de hoogte van de voortgang van de behandeling. Nogmaals bedankt!

My name is Donna and my mother lives in the Philippines. She's been diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3. She had a mastectomy to remove 2 cancerous tumors and 2 lymph nodes from which one contained cancer cells. This means that cancer has started spreading to her body. We already paid the costs of the surgery not covered by the insurance. The 8-cycle chemotherapy she needs to receive is not at all covered by the insurance. According to the oncologist this will cost at least 5000euros. Any donation to help us raise this amount would be very helpful.
She's been scheduled to start her chemotherapy in January. It is unbearable to see your loved ones suffer from this illness and be very far away from them. We hope that you could help us so that my mother can receive the treatment she needs and be able to see her grandchildren once this is over. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

FIrst of all I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your generous response.
My mom received her first chemotherapy session last January 25 and it went smooth. Unfortunately she got infected by Covid a few days later. She had mild sypmtoms but her white blood cell (WBC) was very low. The doctor gave her a shot to help her bone marrow produce WBC but she suffered side effects such as pain in her bones and fever. She was admitted to the hospital to closely monitor her condition. Finally after 3days the fever subsided and her WBC has risen to acceptable level and she was allowed to go home. Below is a copy of the hospital bill.
Just as her oncologist predicted, she started losing her hair 2weeks after her first chemo. It is painful to see the obvious effect of chemotherapy and cancer to my mom. And she still has 7 more sessions to go.
