Medicine for 11 year old with Cystic Fibrosis

Hello, my name is Roula, and I opened this page to raise money for a life-saving medicine for my best friend's daughter in Lebanon. Due to the severe economic crisis in Lebanon, medicine is incredibly difficult to obtain, and must be purchased outside of Lebanon.

Mia is a very sweet, and fun-loving girl, with big dreams, and a constantly positive attitude. She is the youngest of three kids and has been undergoing treatment after treatment for her entire life.

This new medicine is the first of its kind and offers Mia the opportunity to live a long and healthy life. It has been proven in numerous European studies. This medicine is a long-awaited miracle for Mia and her family and will save her life if she can access it.

She was born with Cystic Fibrosis and has been awaiting a cure her whole life. She has been treated regularly since her diagnosis and receives replacement therapy with pancreatic enzymes and vitamin ADEK as well as daily inhaled treatment with Pulmozyme (DNase). She receives antibiotic treatment during bronchial infections approximately every three to four months. Her doctors have discussed the use of recently available CFTR-modulating therapy with the family. This treatment could significantly improve respiratory function. Given the very high price of this treatment intended to be continued for years, the family is looking for help in obtaining it. The recommended treatment is Trikafta or Kaftrio or Trixacar, the cost of which in Lebanon amounts to more than $6,000 per month.
