Medical Fund for Sandy LeonVest

Friends, family, community members... we are asking for your assistance in paying for Sandy's latest round of Rituximab chemotherapy and additional cardialogy visits.  Sandy was diagnosed with a rare and incurable subtype of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in August of 2001. As many of you know, she's been through dozens of treatments over the last 15+ years. Unfortunately, because of recent changes to her insurance coverage, we are unable to pay the out of pocket expenses anymore.  In June of this year, Sandy underwent another 8 week round of Rituximab, during which she had a cardiac episode that warrented a hospital stay and numerous tests and follow up appointments.  Through it all, Sandy just keeps trucking- cranking out poetry faster than we can read it and fighting the good fight on so many levels.  We feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing network of people who have supported our family in various ways through the years. Making the decision to start a GoFundMe page was difficult, but it has become clear that we must explore all of our options.
