Medical treatment for Coach Chris Sousa

Coach Chris Sousa is a loving father, son and outstanding coach. Chris has spent many years traveling and coaching different age groups throughout his career, giving 100% of himself to his players and doing everything he can for them to succeed. Many of his accomplishments include his teams advancing to state finals and winning various tournaments.

For the past 8 1/2 years Chris has been struggling with stomach and nerve issues which recently has been diagnosed as a rare disease. The disease has drained much of his life, he can no longer work, live on his own and relies on his parents (Bev and Gil Sousa) for his every day needs. Chris has undergone several surgeries and has a team of doctors which are consulting a specialist out of Connecticut. He is trying several different treatments, some which are not covered by insurance and some that are just not working. He has a long road ahead of him as they attempt to find a solution that will allow him to live without chronic pain and discomfort on a daily basis.
