Medical Treatment for Bev

Our family never imagined that it would be us setting up a 'gofundme' page, but here we are asking for your help.
Six weeks ago our precious mother (Bev) developed a lump on her temple. Due to the level of medical care in South Africa, it has taken almost 6 weeks to determine that the lump is a tumour. In this time the lump has grown, moving from the temple, down the left hand side of Bev's face, down her jaw and now into the right hand side of her face.
At this stage we still don't know if the tumour is benign or malignant. We do know that it has it's own blood supply, making it inoperable. Bev is suffering significant headaches and pain and has lost much of the feeling down the left hand side of her face.
The next stage for Bev is a biopsy. She presented to the hospital, on 8th January, and was told they could do the biopsy on 17th and said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the results. Given the aggressive nature of the tumour we hold fears for what this could mean for Bev.
We are in the process of trying to find private treatment options and this is obviosly going to cost a small fortune.
As you can tell, time is not on our side and we need to get answers and treatment as soon as possible.
Please consider making a contribution to help Bev get the treatment that everyone deserves. For her, even just knowing that something is being done provides her with some hope, as she becomes more despondent every time she hits a medical brick wall.
