First and foremost, we want to thank the family of the donor of kidney for my husband. We are very sorry for their loss and we are heartily grateful for the gift they gave to my husband, our prayers are with you. Lucio had been on dialysis for 3 years: 3 days a week for 4 hrs each day. On Tuesday 9/7/21, he was admitted to UW Medical Center to receive a kidney transplant that would change his life by giving him another chance to live. We know that this operation is very expensive, and our insurance will cover only one portion and the rest will be our responsibility. My husband will not be able to work for at least 3 months, as this is the time it takes to fully recover. I will also stop working for 1 month, because I am his main caregiver during the first crucial weeks. We truly appreciate in advance any help we can receive from you. Thank you and blessings to all. God is good and I know that He is and will be with us on this long road.

En primer lugar, queremos agradecer a la familia del donante de riñón por mi esposo. Lamentamos mucho la pérdida de él y estamos muy agradecidos por el regalo que le dio a mi esposo, nuestras oraciones están con usted. Lucio había estado en diálisis durante 3 años: 3 días a la semana durante 4 horas cada día. El martes 7 al 21 de septiembre fue admitido en el UW Medical Center para recibir un trasplante de riñón que cambiaría su vida al darle otra oportunidad de vivir. Sabemos que esta operación es muy cara, y nuestro seguro cubrirá solo una parte y el resto será nuestra responsabilidad. Mi esposo no podrá trabajar durante al menos 3 meses, ya que este es el tiempo que tarda en recuperarse por completo. También dejaré de trabajar durante 1 mes, porque soy el principal cuidador de él durante las primeras semanas cruciales.
