Medical Service Dog for Hannah

Hello! My name is Hannah (22 yrs old) and I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst around the size of 2 inches and currently cannot be operated on because, it lays on my brainstem/spinal cord. I also have other ailments including POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome), lymphocytic Microscopic colitis, and many others. 


These ailments have made life challenging. I’m currently seeing a team of specialists to help manage my conditions. Some of my challenges include being accompanied by others at all times, unable to bathe by myself, difficulty walking long distances, and unable to work (due to chronic pain, seizures, and Fainting spells).


After discussion with my Doctors and family, we have decided that it would be beneficial to get a service dog for medical assistance and independence.


A service dog will help me with my independence greatly! A service dog will be able to tell me when I need to lay down before I pass out and will be able to provide stability when walking/standing. The service dog will also be able to watch me while I bathe to make sure I don’t pass out. They will also be able to get help when needed, which would include finding family members to come help.
