Medical Outreach in SE Nigeria

Home to Serve Medical Missions (HSMM) is a not-for-profit organisation with a clear goal: to provide easier access to primary healthcare services to vulnerable and underprivileged communities in South Eastern Nigeria.

HSMM aims to achieve its objectives through free diagnostic medical examinations for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and malaria, through health education and awareness, provision of high-quality over-the-counter medications and acting as health advocates for those who are vulnerable.

HSMM was founded by medical doctors, Dr P Nwafor and Dr C Uzor who have a passion and desire to use their medical expertise and training to serve people in disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.

In December 2021, we organised our first medical outreach programme in the communities of Owerre-Ezukala and Ogbunka in Anambra State, Nigeria. We provided pain-relief medications and multivitamins to the elderly population in these villages. We received such positive feedback and this year, we are hoping to go a step further by improving our reach, quality of services and medication that we can provide to more people.
