Medical Masks for Healthcare Workers

Hi everyone:
We are three friends living in New Jersey, Laura, Ali and Jacki, who are growing increasingly concerned about our loved ones risking their own health to save the lives of COVID19 patients. We are sure many of you are in the same boat – whether it is a friend, significant other, or family member on the front lines – reusing an n95 mask, or even resorting to a bandana for protection. The major shortage of protective gear in hospitals is only getting worse by the day.
To do our part, we have joined forces to help in any way we can with a goal of delivering FIVE THOUSAND masks to multiple hospitals in NY and NJ (to start). One of us owns a company that manufactures product overseas, and she has secured several contacts through her manufacturers to order medical masks. At first the three of us ordered a small quantity, and then thought it would be great if we could order even more! The people who are taking care of the sick should be taken care of themselves. They are on the front lines during this tragic time and should not have to sacrifice more than they already are. The photo above is of our dear friend who received a small quantity of masks through our contact and works at NY-Presbyterian.
Currently, we have narrowed down our first round of donations to the following hospitals where we have personal connections (although, there are so many more in need than those that are listed below, unfortunately):
We will be delivering both N95 and medical masks to these hospitals based on the need as specified by our personal connections in these institutions. We will be withdrawing the money and immediately using it to place our order through our contacts – selecting the best medical mask supplier based on mask quality, price and availability. We will post updates on the exact quantity ordered as requested by our personal connections in these hospitals. We will also have our friends review the quality of the masks from our smaller order (which are due to arrive in a few days) before we place our larger order using these funds to make sure they are up to standard. Please note: If the masks sell out by the time this closes, we will make a monetary donation to the hospitals directly.
Please donate any amount to help those who are risking their lives to save others. The sooner we can place our order, the sooner our loved ones, and maybe even yours, can have even a little more protection. Thank you in advance.
