Our amazing friend, brother, son and husband had quite the scare last Thursday. After going into the ER believing he was having breathing issues, found out he was actually having a heart attack and quickly underwent triple bypass surgery and will have to take 3 months off of work to recover. At age 37 it was very unexpected and shocking to everyone that loves him. 2018 has proved to be a very hard a challenging one for David and his wife, Valerie. Valerie has had her own painful medical problems that have made it physically impossible to continue working and stopped working back in early March. Down to only one income, it's been very difficult to keep up with even just the normal household bills.
David has a strong passion for serving students with special needs. He has been a special needs teacher for 11 years for Garland ISD and for the last 7 years has worked with a government program for blind and visually impaired high school students in the summers.
