Medical fundraiser for my brother and mom

I am setting up this emergency fundraiser to help save my brother’s life. As many of my friends already know, brother Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4, Gastric metastatic cancer several weeks ago.   We are heartbroken and devastated.. This was right off the heels of our mother falling down and breaking her hip, requiring emergency surgery 2  months ago. We are still trying to recover from that.  She is still healing and getting physical therapy after being at a nursing home for 6 weeks.  She needs a lot of help right now and I can’t be there much of the time because of work.  

My family has been hit very hard with both of these unexpected events happening at almost the exact same time.  To say we are overwhelmed is an understatement. No sooner did all of the medical bills from my mother’s fall and surgery start coming in, but now my brother’s diagnosis has brought us to our knees both emotionally &  financially. The medical expenses & bills are piling up, as well as, the cost of living since neither of them can work.  Circumstances have brought us to this point where, as hard as this is for me, I am reaching out to help our family get through this terrible time.  

We will be using these funds to pay for medical expenses, living expenses and other related bills that are coming in faster then we can blink.

 My brother is currently in the hospital & just had a feeding tube put in.  We are praying for a miracle because he is extremely malnourished as he has not been able to get any food in for months.  His kidneys have also taken a hit from being so sick. He has a very long road ahead of him to make it through, God willing.   Any amount you can help with would be so greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts..  Asking for this kind of help is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.  

Right now my brothers’ throat is almost completely closed up due to a large tumor at the base of his esophagus.  The cancer has also spread to his stomach and around his lungs.  The doctor will be removing fluid from his chest today too, so he can breathe.  All of this is weighing very heavy on my family.  In fact, that is an understatement.
