Medical Fundraiser for Kriston David.
It is with great pleasure to have your attention and time to look through our fundraiser for our dear son, Kriston David. We are asking for your support in helping us reach our goal to complete his procedures in finding details of his epilepsy and ways to help him get better. In 2015 the last week of summer going into the first week of his 8th grade year, he had his first seizure. It was the most devastating day of our lives. Not knowing what to do and that panic attack while TRYING to bring him back made it more difficult. None of my children has had anything like it. This was the first for us. From that day until today I have not given up on trying to find a possible cure for him. I believe he can be cured knowing he was not born with it.
From that day on we have managed to get Kriston through doctors in Guam. But even with the help we were able to get , I was still not satisfied. There were no solid proof or accurate answers to my questions. For 5 years straight they've kept him on medications. Medications and check-ups that had so much expenses. Through those 5 years they adjusted his medication level every time he had a seizure. Kristons' condition worsened. As days went by I noticed he was becoming a little slow or had delayed responses. It was one of the side affects of his medications. No parent likes to see their child go through difficulties. I couldn't bare it. I definitely had to monitor him everywhere he goes 24/7 while awake and in his sleep. This year marks the 6th year of him being on medications with his 6th and 7th adjustments. Also, we decided to relocate to Houston Texas to find better assistance. Today, we are grateful we made that decision to relocate. Why? Because finally after 5 years of unanswered questions and no solutions, the UTH Physician here in Houston was able to find that he has 2 types of seizures. Something I did not know about. Starting January 19th 2021 , the Epilepsy foundation will begin with his procedures and start from scratch to find out what causes his seizures and where it starts from. We are asking for your support in donations to help us reach our goal to maintain his operations. Even a short prayer is greatly appreciated.
