"This has been the scariest 24 hours of my life. I took Britt in to the ER for headaches and double vision and after a quick CT scan they discovered minor clots in her brain. They transferred her via ambulance to Denver and this morning she underwent surgery to remove it. She's out of surgery now and recovering. She will be on meds and blood thinners the next couple of days. With more scans to come. If everything looks good and her symptoms go away there is a possibility of going home by Tuesday but we still have a road ahead of us."
Update: Thankfully, Britt got released today after 5 days in the Neuro ICU in Denver and is now home with her family. However, they are now faced with the cost of multiple MRIs, CT scans, the surgery to remove the clots, and labs on top of all the hospital bills themselves. She is also looking at atleast 3 months of follow-up testing and medication to ensure that the clots are fully cleared and don't reform.
I know that Aaron and Britt have both been overwhelmed with all the love and support they have received through this crazy time. Please continue to send your thoughts and prayers their way as the road to recovery begins!
