Medical Fund - Sweet Baby Spangler

Donation protected
I am setting up this GoFundMe account to support the Spangler family. Bobbie Ann and Steven already have two beautiful children and are excited to welcome their third. Currently they are 5 months pregnant with baby Cambria.

While still very much excited, and unimaginably loved, that excitement was joined with fear last week when their unborn daughter, Cambria Spangler, was diagnosed with Spina Bifida .  They shared  the news with friends and family

“We have been evaluated through a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist in Memphis. Cambria has been diagnosed with severe form of Spina Bifida called Myelomeningocele. The spinal column is open and we will be undergoing in utero fetal surgery in the upcoming weeks. She also has diagnosis of Hydrocephalus, extra cerebral spinal fluid on the brain, and Arnold Chiari II Malformation, hindbrain herniation.
We are being referred to a couple specialized hospitals and do not have set dates. There is an evaluation process and criteria must be met to be candidates for surgery. We do know it'll be in the next two weeks that surgery will be scheduled, that it will require bed rest, and we will be remaining there near the hospital for the duration of the pregnancy."

The Spanglers are amazing people!

If you are a mother in the Memphis community, chances are you have had some interaction with Bobbie Ann. She has been a pillar of support for women through our city. Whether it be rallying meal trains for exhausted new mothers welcoming a new member to their family, organizing and helping bring fun events to town, (Thank her for getting Mommycon to visit us the first time!) or just down right being an amazing listener,  shoulder to lean on, and always smile and laugh when you need one.  Now it’s time to return just a portion of what she has given, and be her support and help them stand strong during this.

Or maybe you have a student in the city and are aware of what a brilliant band and orchestra teacher Cambria’s father is.  Not only am I fortunate enough to be a family friend, I am lucky enough to be the parent of one of his students. I can tell you that he gives 100% to his students by both educating them and empowering them through music. His students don’t just learn sheet music; they learn life lessons to step out of their comfort zone, take on challenges with both courage and confidence.

We need to help show Cambria we are all fighting for her. With parents such as hers there is no doubt she is strong, and full of light to offer this world!

They will be traveling across country to have the surgery, and will have to reside there until Cambria is born.  Along with travel expenses we all know that normal life goes on and bills and the expenses of normal everyday life still have to be attended to.

This is going to be a really tough time for them both emotionally and financially, and the last thing they need to worry about are the financial logistics of traveling and treatment finances. Your generous donations will help ease that burden so they can put their focus on where is should be, the health of their family, and sweet Cambria.  Any little bit will help and is greatly appreciated.
