Medical fund for Sawyer Stillson

For those of you that don't know, we would like to share a scary story with you about our sweet friend, Sawyer.
He was diagnosed with a severe case of Ecoli (STEC). This ecoli produces a Shiga toxin in his blood, leading to Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome HUS.
HUS is a condition that affects the blood and blood vessels. It results in the destruction of blood platelets (cells involved in clotting), a low red blood cell count (anemia) and kidney failure due to damage to the very small blood vessels of the kidneys.
Sawyer is in the children's hospital in Dallas and has had surgery for a dialysis catheter, several blood transfusions and multiple treatments for dialysis. Sawyer is now on the way to recovery.
In addition to the past 2 weeks, he will be in the hospital for another4 to 6 weeks. Once home, he will have multiple follow-up appointments.
This has been a painful, scary, and stressful time for Sawyer and his family. We are beyond happy that he is starting to show signs of recovery. We know he is a strong little man that will be back to playing with his friends and telling his creative stories.
Nothing could be a bigger blessing than helping someone we love- All the donations are going towards Sawyer's ever-growing medical expenses.

1)I, Katie Schroeder, am family friend's of the Stillsons
2) I will be depositing the funds directly into an account set up by the family
3)The Stillson family with withdraw these funds directly from their account
