Medical Flight for My Son

On June 24th my wife and I received a call from one of my sons friends; he informed us that Keith was very sick and we needed to come to Las Vegas right away. When we arrived 12 hours later, at Henderson Hospital, we were shocked to find him near death. Just three months prior he was in Michigan to support me because I was having a median sternotomy to remove a half pound tumor from my chest.
Now Keith is in Horizon Specialty Hospital; he has been there since July 5th. My wife and I have been with him since June 25th to support him as he recovers. We have used nearly all of the funds available to us to maintain our personal bills, a temporary residence in Las Vegas and pay his half of the rent and utilities until his roommate finds another place or a roommate. I have used all of my vacation time and now I am on unpaid leave for two months. His doctors are estimating six months to two years for a full recovery. My wife and I need to take him back to Michigan so he can have the Love and support required for him to make a full recovery. We have investigated medical ground and air transport back to Michigan, but it is very expensive.
I never thought I would need to ask for help, but we really need some help to get him home. Through this trial he has taught me lessons in strength and faith ( the son teaching the father) and I am so proud of him. At one point the doctors did not think he would make it and they were encouraging us to consider palliative care. My son made the decision to fight. He told the doctors "With God and my parents I can fight this". So far he has made tremendous improvement, but he has an ocean to cross that will be fraught with many dangers.
He is great young man and has never asked or demanded anything from us. He recieved his associates degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of American in 2008 and came to Las Vegas in 2009 to pursue his dream. Please helps us to get him home; he has no support here in Las Vegas.
