Medical Expenses to save Jolanda Hysa!

Jolanda is a 24-year-old based in Elbasan, Albania who is fighting against Throat Cancer.

She has already undertaken 12 sessions of Chemotherapy at the University Hospital Centre “Mother Teresa” (QSUT) in Tirana but unfortunately the disease has spread to her Neck, Stomach and Lungs which is significantly lowering her life expectancy.

In a desperate attempt to save her life she has found a medical centre in Turkey (Medical Park Istinye University Hospital) which offer a Chemotherapy and Smart treatment that consists of 6 phases each costing 14,000 euros. Each phase would include the below:

• Haematology Unit Examination

• Procedure related laboratory tests and radiology

• Medical equipment and supplies necessary for the procedure.

• Procedure related medications.

• 4-day hospitalisation.

For anyone who does not know what Smart Treatment is, you can find a lot of information online, but it is very simply a cancer treatment which only attacks rapidly growing cells without damaging the healthy cells.

Accessing these treatments privately is extremely costly and unfortunately her family do not have the funds to cover the cost of this treatment or other expenses such as accommodation and flights, therefore we’re seeking contributions from anyone who can afford to spare a few pounds/euros.
