Medical Emergency Relief for Irenea

During the Thanksgiving holidays my mother, Irenea suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke with a Subarachnoid Blood Clot in the Philippines and had to undergo a surgical procedure called clipping. During the procedure she lost a lot of blood and had some minor complications. She is now recovering and is receiving all her nutrition and medications through a NG tube. We are waiting for the swelling of the brain to go down before the doctor can replace the bone they had to remove for the procedure.

The hospital she is being treated at, Mother Theresa Calcutta in San Fernando has been requiring payment each day for her care in the ICU. Because of their limited access to needed meds, care, blood, and resources, they have demanded up front pay and threatened to stop care unless we pay. We have been very fortunate to have a supportive family that has already donated to help with the daily demands they have made. We appreciate all the donations, prayers, time and even blood donations provided. My sisters and I have exhausted all our resources and now we are in desperate need of help. We just want to get our mom back to strength so we can bring her and our dad back to the states where we can get better care and rehabilitation for her.

We have been keeping in contact with the hospital daily, with our father Querico, and family in the Philippines as they tirelessly and selflessly care for her and our father's needs. She has been responding to the care and has mumbled some words. She is showing us she understands that we are doing the best we can to get her back to us. If you know our mother, she is a fighter and she is fighting for her life. Any help that we can get to bring our mom back would be a blessing. Please share and spread the word.
