Medical Expenses for Ed Oldaker

Hello everyone, this is Sheila, Ed’s sister. Many of you already know, Ed had a terrible accident on 9-22-18. He more than likely saved another man’s life, but he is seriously injured and is at Downers Grove Good Samaritan Hospital. He has a broken jaw and finger, a gash on the back of his head w/staples, a collapsed lung, and what they call hangman’s fractures to both sides of his neck. One side is worse than the other and it has damaged one of the four arteries to his brain. The other three are picking up the slack so that is good. He’ll have to wear a brace for approximately 12 weeks. He is off of the ventilator so that is a good sign. I have NEVER asked for help before, but I am so worried for him right now. He has insurance, but we all know how that goes. Also, with him being as hurt as he is, he will be unable to work so I want to collect funds so that I can help him pay for medical expenses while he recovers so that he can focus on healing.
