Medical Expenses for Baby Sarah

My two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Sarah is the light of my life. She is the reason I breathe, the reason I keep going day in and day out. Regardless of what kind of day I have had, seeing her smile and play brings peace and warmth to my soul.
Sarah’s battle with cancer began less than a week ago with an emergency appendectomy. Shortly after that, we were notified that her white blood cell count was abnormal, given she was fighting infection. We were referred to a hematologist/oncologist and were told that her lab results were indicative of leukemia. To confirm this, Sarah underwent a bone-marrow extraction, and she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) the following day. Today, 9.28.18 marks her first day of a long road of chemotherapy, all in less then a week after her emergency surgery. The standard treatment of ALL is 3 years of consistent chemotherapy. Our journey is a long one. I am the primary provider for my daughter, and am barely supporting her and myself on a graduate student salary. At this point, anything would help with her treatment, medications and travel expenses.
Sarah is a bright eyed sassy little girl. She is brilliant for a child of her age, with test scores to back it up. She loves horses and unicorns and is the bravest kid I have ever met. She wants to go out and play with her friends at preschool even after her surgery and the cancer diagnosis. We are all hoping for her to be able to do all of this again and we need your support for it to happen.
