Medical equipment for 21 yr old stroke survivor

UPDATE- I just want to say a big thank you for everyone who has donated or shared! We are eternally grateful! We have upped our target and Darren has made contact to get an assessment it is located in Tipperary so he needs travel cost and accommodation! And he is in urgent need to use this. This amount only pays for 40 hours use* Hi my name is Shannon, I am fundraising for my little cousin Darren May. 8 months ago Darren suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot in his brain. Due to this he needed brain surgery to remove the clot and lost all feeling and movement on his left side. Darren is 21 years of age and had a bright future ahead of him, prior to this he was a out going, funny, charismatic, loving and charitable young man who had a lot of involvement in the community. Being a member in various organisations such as : C&S variety group, Ballyfermot youth service (included youth exchanges) and the gospel choir in Cherryorchard church. He was a great student who attended and received a great leaving certificate in Pobail Scoil iosolde Palmerston. He went on to study nursing in trinity college Dublin receiving a scholarship and in his last year of nursing he suffered this horrific accident. Going against medical professionals opinions Darren has come a long way and has 75% function back in his left leg! With this medical equipment we need money for we are hoping he will prove everyone wrong and be able to go on with his dream to help others and become a nurse that he has worked so hard for!
