Medical Education Fund for Evance
Donation protected
I met Evance in Malawi five years ago while I was helping with medical aid to a hospital in Malindi. Malawi is the eighth poorest country in the world with a population of 17 million people. The country is struggling with health issues such as HIV/Aids, Malaria, and malnutrition, amongst other illnesses. The average life span is approximately 56 years. Evance hopes to make a difference in the health care of his country. Specifically, his passion lies in caring for people with life-threatening illnesses.
One of five siblings, Evance was born in 1987. He was fortunate enough to attend the school of medicine and earned a certificate in clinical medicine. Living hand to mouth, he currently works as a Medical Assistant in a local hospital in Lilongwe.
Evance's goal is to become one of the best medical practioners in Malawi, particularly in Palliative care and one day create his own cancer center. To this end, he wishes to go to Makerere University in Uganda. He has already been accepted, but needs help with travel, living, and tuition fees. His school fees are due August 15th and his courses begin August 21st which unfortunately makes a short timeline to receive and transfer funds to the university.
Can you help Evance fulfill his dreams? We will be appreciative of any amount your heart allows.
