Medical costs for Kornga's mom

Kornga's mother is from Liberia in Africa. Recently she was diagnosed with lung cancer but there were no clinics in Liberia that could treat her. Kornga and his wife, Bria, saved to buy her a plane ticket to come to America for treatment. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Since she has no health insurance, Kornga and his  wife are responsible for her bills which may exceed $40,000. Bria is a teacher and Kornga works as a paraprofessional in a classroom while he is studying to become a teacher. Kornga and Bria have shown incredible devotion and care for his mother. Although their income is limited, they regularly send money to his family in Africa to help out with their needs. Now they have taken Kornga's mother into their home and are determined to provide the medical treatment that she needs to be cured of cancer.
