Medical Care for Jax!
Our wonderful boy Jax has got something in his stomach that is obstructing the path for anything to get through. This has caused a severely distended stomach, full of gas, causing him pain and nausea. He’s to the point of being unable to keep any food or water down.
Jax has been at the vet since Wednesday,June 3rd being examined and working to be treated. He has had multiple X-rays and ultrasounds. He has had to endure sedation due to anxiety over all the strangers and the strangeness of being at the vet. He has been hooked up to IV fluids and isnow receiving blood work and an endoscopy which requires full anesthesia. The endoscopy is hopefully the last procedure and with it, whatever is in his stomach will be removed. If not, then we’re looking at surgery.
An unfortunate reality is that we are in deep financially with this. But he is our family and we will do whatever we have to to get him well and bring him home.
These are hard times for everyone right now. Between lay offs and furloughs (both of which my family is experiencing), protests, and Covid it pains me to be asking for help with money. I know you have donated to causes all over right now that support some major things! If you can spare anything at all to help in our plight to get Jax well we would greatly appreciate it! This is hard for me to do, requesting financial assistance, but we are overwhelmed and have come nearly to the end of our rope of what we can afford.

In case you are wondering: Jax is just over a year old. He is a German Shepard mix who loves to be loud, run, and wrestle with friends at the dog park. He is extremely smart and learns so quickly. We are Jax’s fourth and final family! We are so fortunate to have had Jax come into our lives and we intend to keep it that way. He is truly the best boy!!
