Help Wayne Battle Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer

This is Wayne Chappell. Wayne is an AMAZING man who has been SO close to my family since I was born (and probably even before). He is 61 years old and was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. The cancer has spread to the lungs, kidneys, and may have metastasized to other areas of his body.  He has a tumor in his kidney, which will possibly mean removal of the kidney.

He was a courier for a Hospital and, unfortunately, while on his run, he blacked out at the wheel and got into an accident. They are not sure if it was from exhaustion, blood pressure or that his blood sugar dropped.

In almost 40 years of being a hospital courier, he has always had a perfect driving record and he even received Employee of the Year two times,  but because of this incident (and since his job required him to drive), the hospital thought he was too much of a liability and let him go. So, he lost his job and health insurance.

The insurance he DID have at the time of diagnosis was very specific when it came to where he could receive treatment. This resulted in major bills when an ambulance took him to the closest hospital, where he was in the ICU for around a week, leading to his diagnosis. So, after having lost his insurance, he’s used up his savings and retirement to pay for these, and other, bills.

He needs a procedure on his kidney this month, along with a PET scan and other tests that have already been scheduled. Not to mention, he has bills for all treatments prior to the scheduled ones and any further treatments he may need will undoubtedly cost an arm and a leg. 

Wayne has been there for everyone anytime they needed prayers or a text to keep their     heads Up... and I am one of many. When my body decided to shut down on me and I was hospitalized for multiple days, he never wavered from his prayers. Any difficult situation I have gone through, he has been there, sending texts with prayers and scripture to help give me strength. Unfortunately, he has no family within the state, and none that is able to help him financially through this difficult time in his life.

He’s a strong Christian man that has always prayed for many people in need, regardless of who they are, where they came from, their situation, or beliefs. Now he’s needing our help and prayers! If anyone deserves our help, it is Wayne. So, I am hoping and praying that we can come together, give him some sort of relief and keep him from some of the  financial stresses he's already experiencing during  this very difficult time.
