Medical Bills for Penny
Donation protected
Our wonderful Penny was diagnosed with Uterine Carcinosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive cancer, in late 2014. Since that time, Penny has endured surgery, 2 bouts of chemotherapy, and a bout of radiation. After being cancer free for a year, sadly the cancer has returned with a vengence. With all the procedures, experimental therapies (some of which were not fully covered), and medications she has been required to take, we have hit the Medicare gap and have no coverage for her medications any longer. There are more than 10 medications she is required to take, and the most expensive of that is Luvinox for blood clots which could now cost $5,800 per month. Through selling things, paring down belongings, and loans I have been able to keep up but now there is no chance of that.
This is very difficult for me to do, but I see no other choice. I am asking for help from my people, help in our ability to continue these medications to ease Penny's pain during her final days and also to help illeviate her worry about my survival when this is all over. Those of you who know Penny KNOW she ALWAYS puts others first, and even though she is terminally ill, she CONTINUES to do so even now. She is a wonderful person and deserves to be as comfortable as possible during her final days.
Thank you
