On Friday 04/03/2020, my father Lynn was found in his bed after suffering a stroke. After being rushed to the hospital, it was discovered that he had Atrial Fibrillation which could have been the underlying cause. We are unsure how much time went by before he was found so the extent of damage is still being discovered.
He will need a catheter ablation in order to help his heart pump correctly. His right side is currently paralyzed and he is only able to speak a word or two at a time. The doctors advise minimum 2 weeks in the hospital and then another 2 weeks if not more into rehab. He will need to relearn how to walk, talk, and eat on his own.
Anyone who knows Lynn knows he has a big heart and loves helping people as he is a CNA working for Hospice. He is also a military veteran. After living in Western NY for most of his life, he and his fiancee Bonnie decided to move to Myrtle Beach, SC. Their families are unable to physically be there during this COVID-19 pandemic, so we are doing all we can remotely. This is a difficult time for everyone and we never imagined something like this could happen on top of a global pandemic.
As he is unable to communicate we are working through his insurance to figure out how much will be covered. He needs our help now more than ever as he continues his fight during recovery. Please help in any way you can, every little bit helps. All money raised will go to help pay his mounting medical expenses.
