Brandon Champion was riding home in the evening on  March 4 from work on his motorcycle, and was changing lanes when a car slammed into him that was swerving through traffic. His co-worker who was following him,  witnessed him fly through the air, his bike scattered across the road. Brandon was transported to Memorial hospital with 2 broken legs, 2 broken arms, shattered wrists, a shattered femur, shattered shoulder, multiple fractured vertebrae, a fractured skull, and punctured lung. 

After 5 days in the ICU, after countless hours of constant care from the extraordinary medical team, Brandon passed away. They did everything they could, and Brandon fought hard to stay, but the injuries were too great. 

His wife, Nicolina, and her two boys, Tyler and Lucas are surrounded by family and will have a wonderful support system, however, they have a long tough road ahead of them, and need the support of their community. It is hard to estimate the medical expenses at this point, but they add up quickly. Nicolina will need time to be with her two boys to grieve and help them get used to this next era in their lives.
