Medical assistance for Bobby

Please find it in your heart to help my mom w/medical assistance for her husband Bobby.  He is technically my step dad but he has been there for me through more than i can list so I consider him as my dad & granddad of my girls, we love him dearly.   Long story short his memory started to decline last year and w/that things that he took care of (paying bills) for himself were a huge challenge that we were unaware of.   He unknowingly did not pay his secondary insurance b/c of his memory loss & they no longer cover him.   This has put a huge financial strain on my mom b/c he only has Medicare & they won't cover all of his medical bills.  In the past few months he has been in & out of the hospital and rehab as well as having ambulatory services transport him from rehab to dialysis.   My mom is doing everything she can & has applied for financial assistance which hasn't been approved b/c even though she doesn't they always tell her that her income is too much.   I have my own concerns about her well being from the stress of all of this (she worries about her husband & on top of that trying to figure out how to pay these no stop bills).   The Dr has just told her that Bobby isn't in good enough condition to come home so he will need to extend his stay at rehab.  Insurance will no longer cover his stay & it will be $167/ day, $1,169/ week which is roughly $4,676 a month.  I'm not sure about anyone else but that is an enormous amount of money that was thrown at her.  I am not financially able to help her & that breaks my heart b/c if you know me my mom means the world to me, all I can be is a shoulder to lean/cry on.   Being completely realistic his condition doesn't seem to be improving so rehab may be a permanent situation which means more financial burden.   I wouldn't ask for help if I knew of another option so if you are able to help w/even $5 that would be so appreciated and if you are unable to help financially I would love for you to send up prayers/good vibes for them both.  Thank you in advance! ❤
