After watching our video (hint, hint!) you should have an understanding of our motivation to use media on all screens to bring together a real life and a very real and engaging God. Now you can join us on this mission to reach people all over the world. Welcome to our Genesis Round of fundraising!
Our first step is to raise $65,000.
Our big picture goal is to expand our small production company into a fully functioning studio. As you can imagine, this takes a lot more than $65,000 – right around $6.5MM to be exact, but we won’t worry about that yet… While a lot of the legwork has already been done, there are still critical tasks left to accomplish by the team.
This $65,000 will allow us to:
· Establish a base of operations within the Atlanta, GA area
· Search for and Employ key staff positions
· Create appropriate legal paperwork
· Research & Developing our custom streaming distribution platforms
· File the appropriate State Agency paperwork
· Develop future content
· Generate material for pitching to accredited investors in upcoming fundraising rounds
Now that you know what we are trying to accomplish, here’s a little more information about us. Our name, BOFUM: /bou-fuhm/ pronoun– is from the Urban Dictionary and it means “The Both of Them”. For us, the ‘both of them’ refers to a Real Life AND a Real God. An element we feel is missing in media today.
Here’s our backstory: We were established as a Georgia LLC in 2016, but we didn’t start there. Our film-making founders have over 20 years of film-making experience. The team has produced content for FOX, NBC, BRAVO, FOOD NETWORK, A&E, CBS, ABC, OXYGEN & MTV. Additionally, our Director of Creative Content has been a member of the Producers Guild of America since 2015.
Since coming to the new film-making hotbed of Atlanta, GA we have established relationships with skilled and professional cast and crew. Also joining the core is our Pastoral Advisor and Business Advisor. Our Pastoral Advisor ensures the project’s produced remain grounded in Scriptural Truth and brings over 30 years of ministry experience to the Bofum Team. The Business Advisor is well verses in all facets of business and insures exquisite revenue growth. His team leadership moves the company towards the set goals and objectives.
As the expanding core, Bofum Pictures accepts the mission of creating soul stimulating content and is ready to pair it with the most successful distribution plans, all to insure the widest audience for Christ. From all of us here at Bofum and those benefiting from the long-term effects of this Production Company, we Thank You in advance for contributing and praying for us! We are keenly aware that the term ‘faith-based’ has done Christians no favors and that the redeeming message of grace doesn’t yet exist outside of the ridged box filmmakers have created, but rest assured, we are following our mission to change that!
