Meadows Rental Team Funeral Fund
Donation protected
Our Mt. Hood Meadows Rental Team lost three vibrant and passionate team members in a tragic car accident. We are raising money to help support funeral costs for the three families and funds will be split evenly between them.
“The Mt. Hood Meadows Rental Center O’Hana is mourning three of their own today.”
Genesis Acol –Genesis always had a twinkle in her eye to go along with her smile. She joined the Mt. Hood Meadows Rental Center Family this season, and jumped right in. She fit boots, teched skis and boards, and completed every task with a maturity and presence that belied her years. I miss her laughing at my ridiculous dance moves and attempts to sing along with the music in the rental center. Genesis: you are loved and missed! Ski well my friend!
Erick Fadness – Erick was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who went skiing and snowboarding as often as he could. He was a fellow wildland firefighter, bicycle mechanic, and ski and board tech. He put his passion into his work through his attention to detail and his efforts to see the best qualities in the team and guests around him. Erick: you are loved, and missed. Ski and ride well my friend!
Walt Smith -Walt was a soft-spoken, gentle-giant of a man. Even behind a COVID regulation facemask, his eyes shone with a smile. He brought that smile to work every day as he put his technical expertise to work teching-out skis, and snowboards, or fitting guests with boots. I will miss his larger-than-life presence, and his ever-present furry hat with the earflaps. Walt: you are loved, and missed. Ski well my friend!
“O’Hana means family, and family means that no one is left behind or forgotten!”
