Hudson, also known as Perry Maysun, has been facing a challenging battle since February when he received the devastating news of his cancer diagnosis—a tumor, identified as an osteosarcoma, in his left knee.

Enduring rigorous chemotherapy treatments since then has taken a profound toll on his body. With a full knee and femur replacement surgery scheduled for May 30th to eradicate the tumor, Hudson anticipates at least another 3 months of chemotherapy post-surgery.

For Hudson, creating music and art in various forms is not just a passion but a lifeline. The therapeutic nature of creation, coupled with the profound impact his stories have on others, makes every endeavor all the more meaningful. Over the past 3 years, he has released 18 fully conceptualized projects, with each song accompanied by a poem, and he has no intention of slowing down. Despite his current circumstances, Hudson's determination to continue creating remains unwavering. From his hospital bed, he continues to record songs and write a poetry book, steadfast in his belief that creativity knows no bounds.

Dreams of touring, directing/producing films, designing clothes, penning a book, and establishing a foundation to provide underprivileged children access to various forms of art fuel Hudson's spirit. His vision extends beyond mere accessibility; he envisions a world where individuals can freely attend his shows and experience his art without financial constraints. Through his art, Hudson aspires to uplift and empower others, advocating self-love with his life motto, "be your own best friend," and offering solace to those who may feel alone.

Initiating this GoFundMe campaign stems from Hudson's financial struggles to cover his rent and sustain himself throughout his treatment and recovery journey. Despite his streams, which currently fall short of meeting his financial needs, Hudson is unable to pursue regular employment for at least another 5 months due to the intensity of his treatment. Additionally, he seeks financial support to realize his creative vision without constraints, enabling him to propel his career forward and attain financial stability.
