Help Horsewoman Vicky in Her Fight Against Cancer
Don protégé
I'm writing this for my dear friend Vicky, someone who has shown unimaginable strength and grace in the face of immense hardship.
For nearly a year, Vicky has been battling pancreatic cancer. Her tumor is inoperable, and while we had so much hope that chemotherapy would make her a candidate for Whipple surgery, her weight loss has made the procedure impossible for now.
Despite everything, Vicky continues to smile. She radiates joy, and her laughter is as strong as her spirit. Her faith, the love of her friends and supporters, and especially her animals have been the anchors holding her steady.
Ivan and Maggie Mae, her beloved Dalmatians, are her heart. Ivan, who is just six years old, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer—an unimaginable blow. It started with a droopy eye and within days, progressed to the point where he couldn’t even keep his mouth closed. Vicky rushed him to the University of Florida, where he spent four nights and received the devastating diagnosis.
As if that weren’t enough, Vicky recently made the heartbreaking decision to send her horse, Casey, to Texas so I can care for him while she focuses on healing. It was an act of love and selflessness—putting his well-being above her own heartbreak.
Right now, Vicky could use a little help. Between mounting medical bills, Ivan’s veterinary care, and daily medication costs, it’s overwhelming. Much of it has ended up on credit cards.
If you’re able, let’s come together and ease some of that financial burden. Every little bit helps, and Vicky deserves to focus on healing—not worrying about bills.
