McTaggart Home Flood-Harvey
Donation protected
On Saturday, August 26th Hurricane Harvey arrived in our area and has brought epic, catastrophic flooding and devastation to Texas. My close friends The McTaggarts are one of the families that is suffering from the devastation Harvey has inflicted. Their subdivision, River Plantation in Conroe, TX is destroyed. As of the time I am writing this, Conroe has received 31" of rain in 3 days and it is STILL raining. They have not been able to get close to their home for the past 24 hours but last they were there and evacuating, the water was waist deep in their yard and rising rapidly. They anticipate losing everything inside and outside of their home. Richard McTaggart who is a Army Gulf War Veteran and Shannon McTaggart have 3 boys...Connor age 15, Preston age 14, Logan age 11...and their 2 dogs. They also take care of Richard's disabled Mother who lives with them full time. I know so many large companies will be fundraising to help the flood victims of Hurricane Harvey and for that I am so thankful. However, by donating to this fund, every penny you donate goes right back to the McTaggart family as they work to rebuild their lives and home. This will be a long process. They will be displaced for weeks to months. They had to leave almost everything behind and as of this afternoon are still not able to get even close to their home with the water still being so high.If you have been watching this devastation on the news and wondering how you can help...this is one way.
Please share with all of your friends and open your hearts to this sweet family.
I will be posting updates including photos as we receive them.
This photo is the McTaggart home as of 8/29 a.m....and it's still raining...
