McQueen Children
This fund was started for these six (6) children because they hold a special place in our hearts. These children have a story that we feel everyone should hear and understand. The children are 7, 8, 11, 12, 15, and 17 years old. On January 25, 2007, the oldest four (4) girls lost their father, Scott Vincent McQueen, to cancer at 40 years of age. The children moved in with their grandparents so their mother could have help after the loss of her husband, then they lost their grandfather Ronald Michael Steinhert on September 25, 2013, again to cancer. On July 19, 2017, their mother, Lorri Beth McQueen, lost her fight with addiction at 38 years of age. These children have experienced more loss at a very young age than most adults has had their entire life. These kids are active in school, church, choir, and community service around the Desoto County area. They are exceptional students and young people. Currently, we are raising this money to assist their grandmother, who is 70 year old and on a fixed income, in the continuance for them to have as much of a normal life as possible under these circumstances. The family and friends of the children thank you in advance for any amount that you can donate. If at this time you are unable to donate, please keep this family uplifted in prayers and pass this message along to others. This message has been approved by Terry Pool (brother and uncle), Sonya Scott (sister and Aunt) and Sandy Steinhert (grandmother).
